If you’ve been hearing the shrill cries of dissidence, it’s because September heralds in the homeschooling of the ravens, which is akin to nailing Jell-O to a tree for the first few weeks. Cue the graying of my hair, but I kind of dig the frazzled witch look. Halloween is coming, after all. Thankfully, my counters have been installed. I can see the light at the end of the kitchen calamity tunnel, and my fingertips are back to their pre-grouting glory. Too bad that means I have zero excuse not to deal with the scads of produce coming in from the garden. Like, enough already. Tomatoes, I’m looking at you, and you can tell your squash buddies hiding under leaves isn’t funny. What? They’re seriously jerks.
On the writing front this September, One Night in Bliss has gone live, and the feedback has been really great! Seriously, I’m humbled by the hype. If you haven’t had a chance to read it, what are you waiting for? It’s still free to download, and you’ll be glad you did. Well, at the very least entertained. As for me? I’ve been gearing up for the RWA’s RAMP showcase trying to put together a submission package that doesn’t suck. Yep. Easier said than done. Let’s just say marketing’s not my strong suit. Something about being professional, blah, blah, blah… Whatever. Fingers crossed, I’ll toss in a Hail Mary, and try to eek some good vibes out of the universe. In the meantime, I hope to have some good news to share in my next update!
